Being Brunel on Bristol harbourside offers a fascinating journey into the mind of the pioneering engineer and former GWR employee Isambard Kingdom Brunel – and to celebrate its opening, we’re giving away three pairs of tickets.
Isambard Kingdom Brunel was the Leonardo da Vinci of his age. As well as being a fabulous engineer that could turn his hand to any project, he had an artist’s eye for drawing and design. He was a trailblazer that built bridges, tunnels, ships and, of course, Great Western Railway.
Being Brunel is a celebration of the man and his achievements and explores his life and working processes. The museum, which opened to the public on 23 March and features six galleries, reveals Brunel as someone devoted to innovation, with a relentless curiosity and endless ambition.
Find out about his pioneering work as engineer and entrepreneur, and discover more about his domestic life and standing as a celebrity. At Being Brunel you can explore original drawings, paintings, notebooks, photographs and more.
