Canalside Steps, Granary Square
One of London’s loveliest spots gets even lovelier during the summer months as the canalside steps in King’s Cross become the perfect place to watch the live Wimbledon action on the big screen. Carpeted in bright green artificial turf, you can’t miss the eight levels of tiered seating, offering tennis fans loads of room to catch all the live sporting drama. The main BBC coverage runs from 1 July–14 July, and you can head to the steps throughout the day or after work, as matches will be streamed until around 8pm.
Wimbledon on the Big Screen
Sit back and relax on the lawn at Merchant Square in Paddington, where you’ll find an abundance of deckchairs and beanbags to watch match after match of ace tennis. There’s no need to book ahead, simply turn up and while away an afternoon or evening in front of the big screen.
St Kats Big Screen Presents: Wimbledon
West Basin, St Katharine Docks Marina
Look for the big white tent in St Katharine Docks and you’ll find an awesome floating pontoon kitted out with deckchairs, benches and a big screen. You and your crew are free to show up on a first come first served basis and can even bring your own food and soft drinks. There will be a bar serving food and drinks during the nail-biting semis and finals.
