Top November firework displays

The autumn festival season reaches its big-bang finale, so get your sparklers at the ready and check out these whizz-popping bonfire nights for all the family.

London

Alexandra Palace Fireworks Festival

When: Friday 3 November and Saturday 4 November.

What to expect: This is a fantastic bonfire night celebration for all the family. There’s a German bier festival on site as well as a street food village, plenty of craft beer vendors, a fun fair for the children, an ice rink and more!

Timings: Friday: entry to the park is from 5pm, fireworks start at 9pm sharp. Saturday: entry to the park from 4pm, fireworks start at 8pm sharp.

Southwark Park Fireworks

When: Sunday 5 November.

What to expect: Now in its 14th year, Southwark Park’s bonfire night celebrations are very popular and attract large crowds, so if you don’t mind a bit of hustle and bustle, you’ll be sure to have a fantastic time with friends and family. Food, drink, entertainment and a children’s funfair are open and available on the grounds until 8pm.

Timings: Entry is from 5pm, with last entry granted at 6:30pm, so make sure to arrive with time to spare.

Tickets: You must buy tickets in advance. Prices: £8.50 for adults, £2.50 for children. If your child is under three years old, entry is free. Tickets are also free for Southwark residents.

Brighton

Brighton Lions Fireworks Display, Brighton Racecourse

When: Sunday 5 November.

What to expect: A family friendly atmosphere with excitable crowds and one hell of a fireworks display. This annual event has fun fair games, rides for the children and food and drinks vans on site for all your refreshment needs.

Timings: Gates open at 6pm and the fireworks display is scheduled to start at 7:30pm.

Tickets: You must buy tickets in advance, either online or from the Dome box office or at Brighton Racecourse. Prices: £10 for adults, £5 for children aged 5-15 years. Children under 5 get free entry.

Worcester

Fireworks at Sixways Stadium, Worcester

When: Saturday 4 November.

What to expect: This magical evening of fireworks, face painting and fairground rides offers a VIP dining option, including a one-course meal, as well as a post-firework display disco.

Timings: Gates open at 5pm and the fireworks launch at 7pm.

Bath

Light Up Lansdown, Bath Racecourse

When: Friday 3 November.

What to expect: There will be circus tricks, fun fair rides and face painting on offer before the fireworks kick off, as well as a range of refreshment stalls, including bars serving delicious cups of mulled wine to warm you up.

Timings: The fun begins at 5pm with the fireworks show scheduled for 7:30pm.

Tickets: Adults – £5 in advance or £7 on the day. Under 16s – £3 in advance or £5 on the day. If your child is under 5 it’s free entry.

Oxford

Oxford Round Table Fireworks, South Park

When: Saturday 4 November.

What to expect: This is the Oxford Round Table’s 50th Charity Fireworks Display event and it’s set to be a night to remember. With live music, an enormous bonfire, beautiful fireworks, a funfair, a catering village and more, you’ll be set for an evening of fun celebrations.

Timings: Gates open at 4:30pm, live music at 5:30pm, fireworks at 6:45pm.

Tickets: Buy in advance online. Single ticket – £7. Family ticket – £16. Super family ticket – £45. Prices increase in November, and if you buy at the gate on the night. All money raised goes to local charities.

Southampton

Mayflower Park Fireworks

When: Saturday 4 November.

What to expect: The annual fun fair and fireworks display at Mayflower Park returns. With plenty of food and drink stalls, rides, live entertainment and, of course, a glorious bonfire, you won’t want to miss out on the fireworks fun.

Timings: The gate opens at 3pm, live entertainment starts at 6pm, fireworks go off with a bang at 7:45pm.

Tickets: Advance tickets are available online. Adults – £6. Children – £4.

Windsor

Royal Windsor Fireworks & Music Spectacular

When: Saturday 4 November.

What to expect: The Royal Windsor Fireworks Display will blow your mind with its magical Roald Dahl-inspired extravaganza. Expect a Wonka-filled wonderland filled with treats, surprises and even Oompa Loompas. Of course, there will be a fantastic show of fireworks too, provided by none other than the winners of the British Fireworks Championship. This bonfire night is set to be completely spectacular.

Timings: Gates open at 4pm. The fireworks will begin at 7:30pm and last approximately 30 minutes. Gates close at 9pm.
