Oktoberfest at Bierschenke
Wednesday-Saturday, until 2 November
Bavaria’s most famous festival comes to London’s Bierschenke for its ninth outing. As ever, the venue will be serving up the best German beer and food, giving visitors a warm Munich welcome. Head to one of the two venues, in either Liverpool Street or Tower Hill, to enjoy a good old Teutonic knees-up.
Electric Ballroom, 28 September and 5, 12 & 19 October
Grab yourself a stein of frothy German beer and swing it in time to some serious oompah beats at the Electric Ballroom this autumn. Exclusive food partners Herman Ze German will be serving its legendary sausages to punters at their tables, as well and currywurst and brotzel. There will be DJs, dancing, fun challenges and competitions – and full fancy dress is encouraged.
Truro Market, 5 October
Don your dirndl and lederhosen for this epic Bavarian-themed party at Truro Market. Expect the usual array of beers, sausages, oompah music and plenty of dancing on the wooden tables. This event has sold out the last four years, so make sure you get your ticket – one night only!
DEPOT, 5 & 12 October
Sample the German nation’s favourite brews during two epic dates this October. This cool venue in Cardiff’s Butetown is the perfect setting for good old thigh-slapping, foot-stomping fun. Make sure you line your stomach with some tasty hotdog action – the perfect accompaniment for quality ale.
The Passenger Shed, Brunel’s Old Station, 11 & 12 October
Oktoberfest returns to Bristol, and it promises to be bigger and better than ever. For two nights and one afternoon, you can enjoy everything that has come to represent the German region. Enjoy a selection of fine draft German beer served in traditional one-litre steins, as well as cider, wine, shots and more. The night’s headlining act will be The Bavarian Strollers, playing Bavarian classics.
