See adorable baby badgers in Somerset

Born in the winter, badger cubs come out to play in spring and Folly Farm has the perfect setup for letting the public share in this delight.

Folly Farm is hidden away in the Somerset countryside between the cities of Bristol and Bath. The 18th-century farmhouse has been transformed into a stunning education and events venue, and what was once a medieval deer park is now a 250-acre nature reserve with wildflower meadows and shady forest.

An accessible-to-all path winds its way through the woods to a special badger-watching platform where you can wait for these snuffling, stripy creatures to show themselves at dusk. Badger cubs are born in winter, but first emerge from their sett on spring evenings when their entertaining antics are adorable to watch. Check the website for guided badger watching events.
